The night sky is so clear that you can see billions of stars in the Milky Way and the galaxies beyond, and the moonlight casts a movie set-like quality on the land...so blue and otherworldly. The silence is deafening. In the freezing cold air you can smell it: a campfire in the vicinity, miles away.
My favorite smell in the world is burning wood; it's why I don't make any other type of candle other than wood wick. I love a smoked old fashioned, s'mores cooked on a real campfire, and fire pits at rooftop bars. PITCHFORK is that true smoky fireplace, burning log scent.
